The world has fallen quiet. What remains is the wasteland, a fractured expanse of ruins, radiation and forgotten settlements. Among these remnants, the last survivors are known as Stalkers, scavengers, traders and mercenaries who walk the line between survival and extinction.
Every Stalker team begins within the Safe Trading Hub, a fragile pocket of order where goods can be exchanged and information shared. From here, teams venture out into the wasteland to locate resources, supplies, technology and relics of the old world. These finds are sold at the trading Hub for Bullets. With these Bullets, teams have to balance the need to buy supplies required for survival with the all important Chits: the currency of reputation. These Chits must be delivered to distant Collection Points located at settlements across the wastleand.
Beyond the safety of the Hub, alliances mean little. Six factions, the Dragons, Eagles, Snakes, Bears, Wolves and Hounds, compete for dominance. Each Stalker team represents its faction in the struggle to supply and claim settlements scattered across the wasteland. Control is fleeting, and only the most resourceful and daring will endure. The aim is simple: To become the most renowned Stalker team in the wasteland. This can only be achieved by controlling settlements with Chits. Fame, loyalty and survival are earned through risk.
